Medicare Part B covers manipulation of the spine only if "medically necessary" to correct a subluxation (when one or more of the bones of your spine move out of position) when provided by chiropractors or other qualified providers. You will pay 20% of the Medicare approved amount after your deductible. If the chiropractor does not accept assignment (and many don’t) you may also have to pay up to 15% above the Medicare approved amount.
Some Medicare Advantage plans do have chiropractic care as an additional benefit to the policy and some will cover adjustments even if they aren’t "medically necessary". If you have a plan with chiro coverage you usually pay just a small co-pay.
