What are good sciatica exercises?

I suffer from symptoms of sciatica in my lower back. It can be very painful at times. I’m looking for sciatica exercises or stretches that I could do to help give me relief from the pain.

  1. Here is a great sciatica exercise for your lower back.

    Lie on a flat firm surface and pull your knees up your chest. Wrap your arms around them (in a hugging motion) and pull them tightly to your chest.

    This will stretch out your lower back and hopefully relieve the compression on any nerves that could be causing your pain.
