Would you recommend a chiropractor for this back pain?

I am a 17 year old female who is experiencing some lower back pain. I play tennis, and run quite often. On my most recent physical, my physician told me that I had a mild case of scoliosis. Would a chiropractor be a good idea? I have heard visiting a chiropractor could cause more trouble than relief.

How do you deal with/get rid of scoliosis through chiropractic medicine?

I’m speaking for a friend of mine who has minor scoliosis, and whose hips are misaligned because of this. They would like to be able to find a way to cure this through chiropractic treatment and various places (in New Hampshire) where it could be done, and also whether it would be a permanent solution or not. We’d both really appreciate your help on this because its causing my friend some serious pain and frustration.

How effective are epidurial cortisone injections for a pinched nerve?

I visited a chiropractor after being told that he might be able to help me with the pain caused by scoliosis/kyphosis/degenerative disc disease. I am in excruciating pain now. The result of the MRI is that my nerve is pinched where the curvature is. How effective are the epidural cortisone injections for a pinched nerve. Please someone help.

First time with chiropractic treatments, but I'm in more pain after 6 treatments. Should I keep going?

After my x-ray, the chiropractor said my neck curve was opposite what it should be, and my spine twists a little bit as it goes up my back (acute scoliosis), so he prescribed 3 treatments a week for 4 weeks. I came in with mild back pain and a neck pain only if I leaned my head back.

After the 3rd treatment, I got a horrible persistent neck pain that got so bad I could only turn my head 3 inches in any direction, and I couldn’t sleep. It got better and then flared up to being worse. Now it’s a bit better, but I’m almost a week out from that pain and have been through 6 treatments. He says everyone has ups and downs. Should I keep going? Or could there be something that needs an MRI?

Anyone had cervical spine surgery with Prestige?

I am a healthy 35 YO female with severe scoliosis in my neck. The mRI shows 3 vertebra that are crooked, with one severely herniated disc. I have complete numbness in right arm down to fingers and constant pain. 2 vertebra need to be fused/ corrected and the one in the middle needs the disc replaced. My doc is awesome. How long is recovery, how bad is the surgery? I have to get back to work as soon as possible.

What's the best therapy for scoliosis? Does chiropractic helps?

I am 33 years old and my doctor says that my backcbone curves to 30 degrees. I was advised to have an operation to implant some kind of supporter to prevent my backbone curving more or undergo a Documentation Based Care therapy from Finland, but I also heard claims about chiropractic therapy for scoliosis, others say Pilates or Yoga are also good. Please give me some input, my back pain is killing me
