For back pain due to badly pulled, strained muscles, what is better for treatment, help, PT or chiropractor?? Please only from those with real knowledge.
question have is why does PT for muscle strain, tear, pulls, cause spinal pain after treatments, was told is cause nerves are in spine, as per doctor, really sucks. Hate being inactive, real problem,
Been having back pain in right L-4 region (between shoulder blade and spine) foe WELL over year. There is a lump there and as the day progresses, it gets more painful and swollen. Lots of muscle spasms too. Had MRI that showed a lartov cyst (dr said "normal abnormality?????) and that MRI showed some arthritis – not severe – and that it was "normal beyond that. He gave a consult with pain mgr and physical therapy (already had with those lil electrodes w/ no results) and feel like he is brushing it off not believing me. Asked if MRI showed pinched nerves and he said yes. Does it- or is he passing the buck? I am 35 with history of C-2 fracture (broken neck) @ 16. Anyone know anything?

Also – I am right handed and it falls asleep often during rest and tingles in the fingertips- especially in the mornings. Have lost strenght – can not open jars- like I used to. And my right side of my scalp falls asleep when I lay on it.
I have spinal stenisos, arthritic spurs, and 3 nerves are involved. I do not want 2 spinal fusions like I’ve been told I need. That Dr. stated it was a year recovery and I would never be the same. The recovery period w/laser surgery is 4-6 wks. Any comments?
ok so i had shoulder pain lastnight and i felt like my shoulder area was sooo tight & knotty & i couldnt really go to sleep.
this morning i woke up & it was HORRIBLE
i like starting crying @ work i cudnt take it, so i called a chiropractor that was highly recommended to me.
he said that i have pinched nerves in my shoulder & neck & muscle spasms..and he said something like i dont have any range of motion in my right side.
this s*it hurts soooo bad!!!
has anyone had this before? can it come back? should i go to a doctor & get a muscle relaxer or something
and also..copays are SOO high, mine is 40 for a specialist.i bet hes going to want to be come back a million times.
i duno what to do.
also how bad is a pinched nerve..is it like serious? or more like "hey it happens"……………

i have a L4 L5 protuded disk contactin both nerves and a L5 S1 extrude both nerves parti. left one have major radiopathic pain anyway was wondering if im able to get on social sec disability?cant work
I get a pinched nerve in my shoulder that radiates pain down my arm and up into my neck. I do nothing to cause this – although I figure I sleep on it wrong because I wake up in pain.
Why is this happening, and what can I do to prevent it and to treat it once it occurs?
How am I sleeping wrong though? I am a side sleeper. I get pinched nerves in either shoulder, up to six times a year… Why does this happen to some folks like me fairly often and never happen to other people?
I have a pinched nerve in my face…maybe a damaged nerve. Half of my face is numb and I was wondering what I can do to help it out or if damaged nerves heal. If so, how long? Should I see a doctor?
hi, i am a teen girl, who was in a car accident over two years ago. the damage was pinched nerves and herniated discs in my back and neck. we had to go for therapy for about 6 months. thing is, it still bothers me a lot. what can i do to help the pain ? and i really do not want to go back for therapy, it took up too much time, and i am too busy with stuff for school. thank you.
my doctor said the reason i have "heart pain" is because i slouch every time im sitting and slouch a lot so it pinches muscle and nerves in the sternum and chest area that shares root nerves with the heart so it feels like its a heart problem but its not. He gave me a name of the condition, but i cant remember. I think it starts with an M.
Anyone know what this is?
