I need 4 disc replacements on my neck due to a car accident.?

I was in a car accident on February, a gentleman hit me from the passenger side when he decided to make an illegal U-Turn. I went to a chiropractor for about 1 1/2 month, did therapy and nothing worked, had MRI, CT scan and Xrays taken, It came up that i had 3 herniated discs and about 6 bulges, between my neck and lower back.
The Neuro Surgeon gave me an option to either get some steroid shots on my neck or having disc replacement surgery,
I elected the surgery after carefully researching the pro’s and con’s of both, they are going to perform a pro disc replacement surgery on me, to replace 3 of the discs on my nec to get rid of the pain.

I am ignorant when it comes to legall terms etc. etc. etc.

I do have an attorney but of course that he’s always busy to talk to me or just never returns my phone calls. Is there anyone out there that can tell me an average of how much of a settlement am i possibly looking at here?

I just wanted to know before i get thru with the surgery, due to the fact that i currently work doing some pretty physical stuff and of course will be out for a period of time and maybe have to change jobs eventually.

Thanks a lot for reading and i am sorry for my spelling.
have a great day or night !!!

CA workers compensation herniated disc case settlement?

I’m 18 years old, worked for a huge company as a stock employee and herniated a disc in my lower lumbar spine at work. i went to the doctor who sent me for an MRI which showed i had herniated a disc. after that, he scheduled me for 5 weeks of chiropractic treatment, which only made things worse…i was then sent to a spine specialist who sent me to a physical therapist for a month and after the third week, i was sent back to the spine specialist orthopedist because the physical therapist concluded not only was my back not getting better, but it was getting worse. the orthopedist then gave me an epideral (cortozone injection into my spine) the injection did not work…and now he wants me to have an artificial disc replacement surgery, or something like that…which i have been advised against by many people due to my age…i have seeked opinions from other doctors who all say your only other option is surgery. i’m a full time student and dont have time for the surgery, nor do i want to have it right away. and i have severe pain down my leg from my sciatic nerve and a really hard time sleeping, cuz my back is in constant pain…should i request a settlement and how much should i expect. i have fallen out of shape over the past 4 months and havnt been able to play any sports, let alone walk for more than a half mile….i would like to have to surgery, but not for another 4 years, when im done with school. should i ask for enough in my settlement to be able to pay for the surgery..what should i do…im looking for advice.

thanks

How effective are epidurial cortisone injections for a pinched nerve?

I visited a chiropractor after being told that he might be able to help me with the pain caused by scoliosis/kyphosis/degenerative disc disease. I am in excruciating pain now. The result of the MRI is that my nerve is pinched where the curvature is. How effective are the epidural cortisone injections for a pinched nerve. Please someone help.

Do MRI’s show pinched nerves?

Been having back pain in right L-4 region (between shoulder blade and spine) foe WELL over year. There is a lump there and as the day progresses, it gets more painful and swollen. Lots of muscle spasms too. Had MRI that showed a lartov cyst (dr said "normal abnormality?????) and that MRI showed some arthritis – not severe – and that it was "normal beyond that. He gave a consult with pain mgr and physical therapy (already had with those lil electrodes w/ no results) and feel like he is brushing it off not believing me. Asked if MRI showed pinched nerves and he said yes. Does it- or is he passing the buck? I am 35 with history of C-2 fracture (broken neck) @ 16. Anyone know anything?

Also – I am right handed and it falls asleep often during rest and tingles in the fingertips- especially in the mornings. Have lost strenght – can not open jars- like I used to. And my right side of my scalp falls asleep when I lay on it.

Anyone had cervical spine surgery with Prestige?

I am a healthy 35 YO female with severe scoliosis in my neck. The mRI shows 3 vertebra that are crooked, with one severely herniated disc. I have complete numbness in right arm down to fingers and constant pain. 2 vertebra need to be fused/ corrected and the one in the middle needs the disc replaced. My doc is awesome. How long is recovery, how bad is the surgery? I have to get back to work as soon as possible.
