I am scheduled for a disc replacement on August 19th but I am not having a lot of chest pain. I have read that this is common with cervical herniations but I was just wondering if I should call my doctor and let him know of this new symptom, go to the er, or just wait for surgery? my hernation is at C6-C7 and is large according to my MRI. Please advise.
Anyone Had a Spinal Disc Replacement? What was the worst part? How long did recovery take?
Hubby is having spinal disc replacement with an artificial disc. We have been waiting two years for the surgery and still going thru red tape to get their? I am interested in hearing anyones person experience such as how long you were in the hospital? How soon did they have you up and walking? What were your risk?

I have a bulging disk that causes a lot of back and leg pain, leg cramps, etc…. I have done therapy, steroid shots, chiropractors, etc…….
I think my only option that i have left is disc replacement.Can someone that has had disk replacement surgery share their experience and tell me a bit of what i can expect?
My boyfriend had to get neck surgery about two weeks ago..he needed a disc replacement…since then hes been having shooting pains up his left arm and down his left leg…any reasons why?!?!?!

I have 3 herniated discs in my neck. has anyone had treatment besides disc replacement, fusion surgery or injections?
I am in a lot of pain and have been for more than 3 years. My condition has slowly worsened. I have tried physical therapy, chiropractic, braces, epidural injections, and pain killers. I am now scheduled for surgery, either disc replacement and / or fusion and opening of the foramen. I have heard horror stories, and also encouraging one. If anyone has ever gone through this, I would like to hear about it and what you think.
I posted a question about disc replacement about a month ago. Does anyone know if there have been any improvements made in the artificial disc? Like everything else, cars, aircraft, etc… there is always room for improvement. Has the design of the artificial disc themselves been improved? Have there been any improvements in the surgical procedure used to install artificial disc?
