My gorgeous Jack russel Jazz after a very scary day of running her from vets to hospital to a specialist has been diagnosed with a slipped disc! it has been only 3days since but she is still in pain & shaking, she is on pain meds every 12hrs for the mean time & an antibiotic just in case there is an infection around the injure. I am really egar to hear about any people who have been through the same with there dogs, the results to treatments & advice. she is currently confined to 1mx1m space but just weeps & tries to get out!!(she is a very active dog & till this happened she has ran with me everyday, as well as amusing & playing with her self through the day) she is so scared & doesn’t understand why she is in pain & can’t come out of the small space she is in, it is truly heartbreaking!!! i want to do what ever i can for her to feel better as soon as possible!!. Jazz is 11 & has a heart murmur & surgery for her would be a very high risk so i am praying & hoping it doesn’t come to that!! If anyone can help in anyway with previous experiences or advice it would be so much appreciated. this site has some good info on a slipped disc. It might be helpful for you. I have not been thru this with any of my dogs. Prayers being sent!
